In fact, our interchangeable-boom concept reduces your investment outlay twice over. By investing in a new KMC, you can simply continue to use your existing booms. Likewise, several KMCs of the same weight class can work with the same booms. Even if you only buy a machine or boom several years later. 

Choosing a KMC P means choosing technology that has proven itself in practice for over 15 years. This is not only reflected in the durability and longevity of each and every component. But also in the well thought-out details. For example, after a boom change the KMC automatically recognises the newly docked attachment and adjusts its system hydraulics independently. The hydraulic and electrical lines are routed absolutely safely through the changeover point. Up to 30 hydraulic connections can be coupled simultaneously with zero loss. Ultimately, this means you don’t have to worry about the machine and can keep your attention where it belongs – on the construction site. 

The KMC P doesn’t need breaks. Once the demolition work has been completed – or if other tasks need to carried out in the meantime – it makes full use of its transformative abilities. With a tele-dipper, multi-use adjustable boom, long-reach front, crane or ram, it can quickly reinvent itself as an expert in civil engineering, traffic route engineering, special foundation, material processing or building construction applications. And then transform back into a powerful demolition excavator just as quickly.

Simply by pressing a button, the operator controls boom/attachment changes directly from the cab. Consequently, neither the operator nor an assistant need to enter the hazardous area around the machine. The Boom Quick Connect quick-coupler system releases and locks the boom automatically, safely and in a controlled manner. A display in the cab of the KMC P gives the operator an overview of the entire process. Besides a visual check, the system also does not allow work to continue until the boom and attachments are securely locked in place.

Great heights and heavy loads. To keep this promise, the power of “three hearts” lies dormant within the KMC P. The Tritec system enables 50% more lifting capacity via its third lifting cylinder. Activated at the push of a button, this demolition excavator effortlessly delivers the kind of lifting power you would otherwise only get from a higher machine class. The operator is free to decide what combination of power and speed the KMC P should deliver. Fast working speed with normal power? Two-cylinder operation is ideal. High power at a slightly reduced speed? Simply activate the third cylinder. To lift the heaviest concrete elements, for example, or to load your own equipment.

The KMC P is based on a safety concept that comprises a multitude of individual technical solutions that support each other. For example, the machine registers the current boom position. Thanks to optical and acoustic signals, the machine operator is constantly aware that they are working within safe limits. This extra information reduces the likelihood of overloading the machine. In this way, the focus on human safety also increases the safety and service life of the machine.
